2008-09 Fourth-year Scheduling Information

Congratulations MSIIIs, you've made it to the home stretch and are ready to plan your final year with us at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. You've worked hard to make it this far so now is the time to tighten your belt and hold on for what should be an exciting ride.

As always, Fourth-year starts on July 1 and consists of 11 months through May 31. Your final year will consist of four Required Courses (Ambulatory Medicine, Advanced Patient Care, Critical Care Medicine and Transition to Residency) and five electives, through which, you will have the opportunity to experience a variety of specialties locally, across the nation and abroad. Plus, you may get up to two months vacation depending on your own circumstances.

So, let's get started. You should begin by clicking on the Ground Rules link on your right.
