Regalia and Special Hooders

Regalia

Regalia consists of your graduation cap, gown, and doctoral hood. Please stop by the Office of Student Affairs in MSB G.400 and see Steve Jones or Chuck Kennedy to give us your measurements. A portion of the rental fee will be covered for you, but please be aware that your regalia will not be ordered until you provide a check for $40 made out to UTHSC.

Regalia Measurements Needed Deadline: February 5th
Cap:	Caps are one size fits all.
Gown:	Height in feet and inches
	Weight in pounds

Special Hooders

Graduates may request a Special Hooder. This person can be your grand parent, parent, spouse, or sibling, but they must be an immediate family member who is a M.D. or D.O.

What is a Hooder? They are the person who puts the colorful doctoral hood over your head after you receive your diploma. Faculty Hooders, elected by you in March, will hood most students.
