Match Day 2006
Four years of medical education and clinical training paid off March 16 for the Medical School's class of 2006 when they participated in the annual event known as Match Day. Coordinated by the National Resident Matching Program, Match Day marks the moment when medical students around the country find out where they will train as residents and whether they've matched successfully to a program. At the UT Medical School, all 208 graduating seniors matched to a residency program. The top three choices students picked for their training were pediatrics, anesthesiology, and family practice.
