Broadband Access To Restricted Web Resources
For Cable Modem and DSL Users

 

Overview

A growing number of Web-based learning resources are required to restrict access due to protect copyright, license agreements, privacy and/or other legal considerations. Cable or DSL high-speed connections are not part of the UTHSC-H network. Thus, one cannot use these service providers to access resources that have traditonally been available only to computers connected directly to the UTHSC-H network.

In order to allow UTHSC-H personnel to use commercially available high-speed Internet connections to access such resources, many are now accessible by using one's UTHSC-H digital ID. Examples of such resources include:
