Broadband Access to Restricted Web Resources

  • A growing number of Web-based learning resources are required to restrict access due to copyright protection, license agreements, privacy and/or other legal considerations
  • Cable or DSL high-speed connections are not part of the UTHSC-H network, and therefore cannot be used to access resources that have traditonally been available only to computers connected directly to the UTHSC-H network.
  • In order to allow UTHSC-H personnel to use commercially available high-speed Internet connections to access such resources, many are now accessible by using one's UTHSC-H digital ID. Examples of such resources include:
    • Cardiovascular Core Concepts
    • Neuroscience Online: Cellular & Molecular Biology
