Prashant Gajwani, M.D.
Biography:
Dr Gajwani worked as Clinical Assistant Professor at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and then he joined Case Western Reserve University, initially as Assistant Professor and Clinical director of mood Disorders Program and he was promoted to Associate Professor. During his tenure at Case Western Reserve University, Dr Gajwani was involved in several research projects in the field of mood disorder, predominantly bipolar disorder. These projects were funded by variety of sources from NIMH to multi-center industry trials. He gained extensive expertise in clinical trial methodology and conducting clinical trials across broad range of mood disorders with co-morbid substance abuse and dependence. He joined University of Texas at Houston as Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs. Dr Gajwani is Board certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also by American Society of Addiction Medicine.
