Since redesigning their website in late 2008, the Office of Communications has enjoyed a generous amount of attention regarding the design. The buzz continued as they were deemed "Noteworthy" in February 2009 by eduStyle which led to the nomination in three categories for the 2009 eduStyle Awards.
eduStyle is a web design gallery dedicated to higher education websites and powered by higher education web design professionals. Users submit, review, and comment on sites they like (or don't like). The aim is for higher ed web professionals to learn from and be inspired by the work of their peers.
Judged by a panel comprised of graphic artists, marketing professionals, and corporate communicators, the UT Medical School’s Office of Communications was selected the winner of the 2009 Expression Award for the Best Original Still Bulletin. Out of nearly 50 submissions, comprised of hundreds of elements, the “Have You Been Punched Yet?” bulletin, highlighting the office’s frequent poster printing punch card was selected as the winner in this category.
The Office of Communications oversees the Medical School’s television monitors that run AxisTV, which allow faculty, staff, and students to post news and events by submitting Medical School branded templates found here.
