| Maternal Fetal Medicine (ABOG Accredited & Texas Medical Board Approved Fellowship # 503-48-14-06) | |||||||
The department offers a three-year
Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship program for physicians who wish to
specialize in the
field of high-risk obstetrics. Our program offers: extensive exposure to
the management of medical, surgical and obstetrical problems associated
with pregnancy; the opportunity to acquire the factual knowledge, and medical
and procedural skills to identify, evaluate and treat the entire spectrum
of disorders
affecting the mother and/or her developing child; preparation for subspecialty
certification and a successful career in academic medicine. When you successfully
complete the Maternal
Fetal Medicine Fellowship, you will be eligible to take the subspecialty
certification
examination in Maternal Fetal Medicine, offered by the American Board
of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
