Artist: Regina Verani
Regina
Verani was
born in Brazil.
After Medical
School she
came to the
USA for her
residency
training in
Pathology. For the past 27 years she has been a faculty member
at the UTMSH Medical School. Her interest in the watercolor
medium started in 1996 after taking lessons at The Houston
School of Art and Design. Additional lessons in water-color
were completed at the Glassell School and at the Watercolor
Art Society of Houston. She has been a member of the
Watercolor Art Society of Houston since 1996 and often
participates in juried monthly shows sponsored by this society.
Regina is mostly fascinated by the beauty of colors and by nature-related subjects. Flowers and landscapes (mostly seascapes) have been part of her work. She believes that her style is still in the process of development. The Bird of Paradise series are part of some of her most recent paintings where the subject is expressed both as a flower and a bird.
