This year, medical students are working to change the future face of medicine.  A group of students will be working with elementary school students in Houston Independent School District to increase the number and diversity of qualified medical school applicants 20 years in the future.    Medical students will enter first-grade classrooms with lessons on paleontology, biology, chemistry, geology, and other natural sciences.  Our goal is to inspire these young minds to follow their dreams and demonstrate to them the exciting world of medicine.  The lessons are rigorous and filled with hands-on learning and experiments to create the young, thoughtful scientists of the future generations.
